Sarouna and Makimakkuk are the only two female music producers in occupied Palestine. They live their lives in Ramallah in the West Bank, where they struggle daily for a place in a male-dominated music industry. Their opportunities in an occupied country are limited, and they both experience the equating of their identity with their birthplace.
